The Story

Our Encounter

Bryan found out who I was through friends and started asking about me.  He was persistent and eventually we ended up on many short coffee and golf dates getting to know each other.  We covered a lot of our backgrounds with each other before we even started dating.  Kind of the more traditional approach to a relationship.  Once we knew that we shared the same interests and family values, and even some of the same friends, we started taking things more seriously.  We moved in together shortly after and spent time getting use to the every day life with each other.  Our lives started to blend and it just felt right for both of us.  I think we knew we would end up marrying right from the start.

Our Engagement

Golf is to Bryan what skiing is to me.  During the first summer of our relationship, Bryan patiently taught me how to golf.  It was his turn to try skiing so we agreed to go on a trip with my parents to Colorado. 

Bryan skied like a pro right from the get go.  We had a fantastic week with my parents and on the last ski day we were there, Bryan and I had our final run down the mountain together.  About half way down the run, Bryan asked if he could try off trail skiing through the trees so we went into the Aspen trees and skied together in the powder and had some laughs.  He stopped to do what men do best out in the wilderness ;) and I gave him his privacy to do so.  Bored, I started carving J+B into one of the Aspen trees.  When I was finished I turned around and he had kicked his skis off and was down on one knee in the snow behind me.  I SAID YES!
